About Chloe

Welcome to The City Girl’s Kitchen!

I’m Chloé, I’m 23 years old and I live in London, having recently moved back from Edinburgh after completing my degree. I’ve always had a passion for food and I love cooking, so I thought what better way to share my recipes with everyone than on a blog of my very own.

The recipes I post are mainly just from every day life, most of which have been inspired by my travels around the world and Edinburgh. I spent a summer in Paris a few years ago as a baking intern in a wedding cake boutique, and have picked up a thing or two from the French.
After interning at Delicious. Magazine this summer and loving it, I’m now pursuing a career in food journalism. I’ve also worked with the Meringue Girls on their second cookbook, doing a bit if recipe writing and testing, which was amazing to be involved with! I’m also got some amazing opportunities to assist the girls with food and props styling, which I really enjoyed.

I’m just about to start a new chapter by moving to Bristol in the next few weeks for a new job in the kitchens of the Royal Marriott. I really can’t wait to get going, and it all came about by being part of the River Cottage apprenticeship scheme. You can read more about that here: http://www.rivercottage.net/about/latest-news/spotlight-on-chloe-ride-apprentice-chef/

Feel free to comment on my posts with links to your own blogs or any tips you have for me- especially with photography!
If you’d like to get in contact you can e-mail me at chloeanneride@gmail.com – or join the #fdbloggers twitter chat, on Thursdays 8-9.
